OVERVIEW
Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) is located 50 kilometers southwest of Dubai, with a total area of 48 square kilometers. AFZA was initiated by the Dubai government in 1985 and is the first free zone in the world that has passed ISO9000 international certification. The Jebel Ali Free Zone has become one of the most popular investment destinations in the UAE.
ADVANTAGES
Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone has four major advantages: 1. Location. The free zone is adjacent to the world's largest artificial port - Jebel Ali Port, about 30 minutes' drive from Dubai International Airport, and only 15 minutes' drive from the world's largest airport - Maktoum International Airport. The sea, land and air transportation is convenient and fast to deliver goods to major consumer markets around the Middle East, Africa and Europe. In addition, Jafza also has a "logistics corridor" connecting ports, free zones, logistics cities, and airports. It only takes 10 minutes for goods to travel from the port to the airport. 2. The governing body of a free zone is the Free Zone Authority, which is a consortium of ports, customs and free zone. The Free Zone Authority can directly issue business licenses to investors, while providing a variety of efficient and convenient one-stop services such as administrative management, engineering, energy supply and investment consulting. 4. Policy. Free zone companies can have 100% ownership without a local partner and are exempt from corporate and personal income tax. The raw materials and equipment required for the production are imported duty-free, and the goods are re-exported with zero tariffs. There are no local employment restrictions for corporate employees. In addition, there are no foreign exchange control measures in the free zone, and there are no restrictions on the repatriation of profits and capital of enterprises in the park.
LOCATION
JAFZA is located in the south of Dubai and is the most mature free zone in Dubai. It is close to Abu Dhabi and has the largest seaport in the Middle East - Jebel Ali Port (cargo throughput of 12 million tons), and it is only a 15-minute drive from the downtown.
